Well, I was plumb excited just to see it that my analysis of it is pretty much not thought of at present. There were a couple things that made my eyebrow raise....such as Lillandil's dancing orb routine and the White Witch in general...but other than that, I was pretty much bouncing in my seat, cheshiring and clapping my hands like a handicapped seal |

Me, too, Evey! I love the ship, and really can't wait for December 10th! Or maybe Dec. 9th at 11:59 PM!
I've watched it about 6 times already. I'm trying not to get too caught up in it and spoiled myself. I did that with PC, and have regretted it.
Since this is my favorite book ( with Last Battle), I promised myself, I will not see or read anything but the trailers before the movie. I want to experience it when it happens. |

This is exciting! As I mentioned somewhere else, I'm really excited for the potential for visual gorgeousness that this movie offers--and the trailer didn't disappoint! I'm not sure what the White Witch is doing there; I also think it's really interesting that there's so much emphasis on the purpose of their return--since this is one of the few books where the need for intervention from our world isn't necessarily obvious. We didn't see a lot of Eustace...it will be interesting to see how he comes through.
Thanks for sharing, Sammy! |

The special effects look beautiful. I don't think it's going to be a word-for-word adaptation of the book, but it looks like there will be some broad faithfulness to the story. I wonder if Eustace will be as much of a nuisance as he was before he met Aslan in the original story. The old BBC specials did a fine job with his character-- even if the dragon he turned into was a bit artificial looking. . With today's better technology which is available for this film it should be possible to create a more realistic dragon. |

The witch again!?!?!
AAAaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!
I know, I know. Everyone liked her in the first movie. But they liked Tumnus too, but he's not in every movie, is he? Noooooooo.
I think it's time we put the witch on trial. As you know, if she weighs the same as a duck, then she's made of wood, and we burn her!!!
(If you don't get that, then you've clearly never watched "Monty Python and The Holy Grail". ) |

I wondered about that too-- what is she doing there? She could be back as Jadis in
The Magician's Nephew
, but why is she in the
Dawn Treader
? They take such liberties as to have characters from other stories make cameo appearances. |

The Witch is meant to be tempting Edmund at the Dark Island, right? So far I think I like that idea, but we'll see how it plays out. I'm usually a revisionist, but the changes to Prince Caspian made it less enjoyable for me. What I'm really weirded out about is Susan and Peter being in the trailer at the end....
And I am psyched to see how the dragon Eustace turns out, I've been looking forward to that for a long time |

Well, I must say that I somewhat feel better about this one, now that I've seen the trailer, but I'm still a little concerned. |

I personally am quite excited, and somewhat wary...but mostly excited.
Of course, we are due to give birth the week after the movie comes out...so I am also hoping that the excitement of the film doesn't make her go into labour.
Edit: I am also wondering about what the main focus of the movie is going to be. The book is rather episodic. There are main themes though, and I hope they stick to those themes. |

PB!!! Solo!!!! Wow!! Both at the same time!!
I wait to see if they can squeeze the witch in without messing up the story. Of course, it would make sense for Edmund to see her on the Isle of Darkness. She probably is his greatest fear. |

Hi!
I never thought of that... maybe she is saying she will make his dreams come true... he will be a king again, etc...? I guess we'll have to wait and find out. |
