The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has officially overtaken Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and owns the crown of 2nd highest grossing domestic (USA) film of 2005, behind Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
According to BoxOfficeMojo, Narnia now sits at #2 in the US with $289,847,008, just $130,000 ahead. Of course, it's still $90,000,000 behind Star Wars. Honestly, I wasn't expecting Narnia to still have enough legs to outrun Harry Potter, but it's just inched ahead! A great start to what I hope will be an amazing, long-running movie franchise!
